AlumDeck and ToucanTech, asked plainly
Is ToucanTech an alumni platform or a CRM?
Both. ToucanTech sells one system with a database of every contact, a website builder, email, events, fundraising and payments, mostly to school development offices in the UK, Ireland, the US and Australia (ToucanTech). AlumDeck is an alumni association site with a member register behind it, not a donor CRM.
Does ToucanTech publish its prices?
No. It quotes each customer, and says most integrations are included in the core licence while the mobile app and the accounting module cost extra (ToucanTech integrations, mobile app, checked September 2026). AlumDeck is $49 a year with nothing extra to buy.
Can AlumDeck produce Gift Aid or tax receipts?
AlumDeck emails a numbered receipt for every recorded gift, and your charity number or other wording can go in the receipt footer. It does not produce jurisdiction-specific tax receipts or Gift Aid claims, and it takes no online payments. ToucanTech lists Gift Aid and US 501(c)(3) receipts.
