What this website collects, and why.

Who we are

alumdeck.com is run by Cerevonix FZ-LLC, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates, which makes and sells AlumDeck. We decide what happens to the information this website collects, which makes us responsible for it.

To reach us about anything on this page, use the contact form and pick Privacy or data. We do not publish an email address; the form reaches the same people.

We do not sell any of it, do not use it for advertising, and never add anyone to a mailing list without being asked. Where the law asks for a reason: replying to a message you sent us and keeping the forms free of spam are our legitimate interests; the waitlist and analytics rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Analytics

Analytics, only after you accept.

On your first visit a small banner asks whether we can count visits. Until you answer, nothing is loaded. If you reject, nothing is loaded then or later.

If you accept, two tools load:

Google Analytics 4

It records the pages you view, the site events listed below, the page you came from, your device, browser and screen size, and your approximate location (country and city, worked out from your IP address, which Google Analytics does not store). It runs in Consent Mode with analytics storage granted and advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation all left denied.

Microsoft Clarity

It records clicks, scrolling and mouse movement to build heatmaps and session recordings, with the text on the page masked by Clarity's default settings.

The events we count

A click on a link to the demo, and where on the page it was; a click on a pricing, waitlist or buy button; opening a menu; using the cost calculator (the number of years); joining the waitlist; and sending the contact form, with its topic but never its message.

Google and Microsoft handle this data under their own terms and may process it outside your country, including in the United States: see the Google privacy policy and the Microsoft privacy statement.

Change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the foot of every page, or with the button below. Rejecting after accepting stops both tools from then on; to remove cookies they have already set, clear this site's data in your browser.

If you buy

Buying a licence

Checkout is not open yet; this is what will happen when it is. Checkout is a Stripe page. Stripe collects your card details and billing address on its own page; we never see your card number. We receive your name, email address, billing country and the payment reference.

Our licence server then keeps your licence key, name, email address, renewal date and order reference. For each site the key is installed on, it keeps the web address, when the site first and last checked in, how many checks it has made, and the IP address of the server that made them, with a log of those checks. We use this to issue and email your key and download link, to renew and refund, and to stop a key being shared. It is kept while the licence exists and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Other companies

Who else handles it

  • Our web host serves these pages, keeps the server logs and carries the email the contact form sends.
  • Cloudflare runs the Turnstile check on the two forms.
  • Google runs Google Analytics, only after you accept.
  • Microsoft runs Clarity, only after you accept.
  • Stripe takes payments, once checkout is open.

No one else receives information from this website, and nobody receives it to sell to you.

Your rights

Your rights, and how to use them.

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • send you a copy of what we hold about you;
  • correct it;
  • delete it, including a message you sent us;
  • stop using it for a purpose you object to;
  • take you off the waitlist before checkout opens.

Withdraw analytics consent yourself at any time with Cookie settings. For everything else, use the contact form, pick Privacy or data, and tell us roughly when you wrote or joined so we can find it. A person replies within one working day, and we act within 30 days at the most. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

One limit we will not paper over: deleted email can survive in our mail provider's routine backups until those expire on their own schedule.

The software

The AlumDeck software and your members.

AlumDeck runs on the buyer's own hosting. Members register on that site, their profiles are written to that database, and their photos sit in that site's uploads folder. We have no copy and no access, so the institution or association running the site is responsible for its members' data, and its own privacy notice applies there.

A running AlumDeck site sends no alumni data to us. Its outside calls are the licence check (the key and the site's hostname, about twice a day), Cloudflare Turnstile if the site owner switches it on (the visitor's IP address), one check of the site's own address during install, and any analytics or video services the owner chooses to add.

For members it provides ten privacy switches on each profile, with email and phone hidden to start with, a choice about appearing in the directory, four separate recorded consents at joining, a download of their own record, and a way to ask for their account to be closed. More on the security and access page.

Children, and changes

This website sells software to institutions and is not aimed at children. It has no user accounts and no sign-in; the live demo is a separate site with invented data.

When this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not add a new tool to this website without describing it here first.

Questions

Short answers

Does alumdeck.com set cookies?

Not unless you accept analytics. Until you choose, nothing is loaded, and if you reject, nothing ever is. Your choice itself is kept in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie.

Can I use the site without accepting analytics?

Yes, all of it. Rejecting changes nothing about what you can read, the live demo, or the forms.

Do you sell or share my data?

No. We do not sell it, rent it or use it for advertising. The only other companies that handle it are the ones listed on this page, doing the job named next to each.

Can you see our members' data if we use AlumDeck?

No. AlumDeck runs on your own hosting. Your members' records live in your database, and we have no copy and no access.

Questions about your data? Ask a person.

Pick Privacy or data in the contact form. None of it is a sales conversation.
