AlumDeck

Give · Donations & giving

Every gift recorded. Every receipt numbered.

Appeals with a goal, a progress bar and a donor wall. Gifts arrive the way they already do, the treasurer records each one, and the donor gets a numbered receipt by email. AlumDeck never touches the money.

Recording, not processing

No merchant account, no percentage, no chargebacks.

  • 0%taken from any gift
  • 6ways a gift can arrive
  • 100named donors on a donor wall
  • 1receipt number per gift, never twice

AlumDeck does not move money at all. Donors pay the way they already do: bank transfer, card through your own account, cash, cheque or anything else. The treasurer records the gift, and AlumDeck keeps the ledger, the running total and the receipt. It works the same in every country.

How it works

From the appeal to the thank-you.

The public sees progress. The treasurer sees every gift. The donor gets a receipt with a number.

Appeals

Appeals people can watch fill up

Each appeal has a title, a cover, a summary, a story, a goal and optional start and end dates. Its public page shows the amount raised, the goal, a progress bar, the number of gifts and a wall of up to 100 named donors.

  • Draft, open and closed states
  • Hide the total or the donor wall per appeal
  • Anonymous gifts count but never show a name

The giving page

A giving page you write yourself

Write the introduction, add cause tiles (a title, an icon and a line each), an optional notice, and a button that points wherever you already collect money. The open appeals list themselves underneath.

  • Cause tiles for scholarships, the library, sport
  • A notice panel for bank details
  • Nothing about your country assumed

The ledger

A ledger the treasurer trusts

Record the appeal, date, amount, method, a reference, the donor (a member, or a name typed in), their email, a message and private notes. AlumDeck stamps who recorded it and refuses dates in the future.

  • Methods: bank, card, online, cash, cheque, other
  • Filter by appeal, method and dates; export to CSV
  • Dashboard: each appeal's progress, this year and last

Receipts

Receipts that never share a number

Each gift gets the next number, such as RCPT-2026-0212, even if two treasurers record gifts at the same second. "Send receipt" emails it to the donor, after checking your mail is set up, and says plainly if it is not.

  • Your own prefix and footer, such as a charity number
  • Numbered per year
  • Emailed from your own mail server

What giving does not do yet.

FAQ

Questions committees ask

Does AlumDeck take the donations?

No. No money passes through AlumDeck, so there is no payment gateway, no card form and no percentage taken. Donors give the way they already do, and the treasurer records each gift. Taking online donations into your own account is planned for release 1.2.

So how do donors actually give?

However your association already takes money: a bank transfer, your existing charity donation page, a cheque, cash at the dinner. The giving page has a button you point at wherever that is, and the treasurer records each gift when it arrives.

Can donors stay anonymous?

Yes. Tick "anonymous" on the gift and the donor never appears on the donor wall, though the gift still counts towards the total and the treasurer still sees who gave it.

Can we print our charity number on receipts?

Yes. The receipt footer is a setting, and so is the receipt prefix. AlumDeck deliberately ships no tax wording of its own, because every country words it differently.

Which currencies does it handle?

Any ISO currency code, including currencies with no decimals, such as the yen, and three decimals, such as the Kuwaiti dinar. An appeal can have its own currency, and totals are added up per currency, never converted.

Who can see and record gifts?

Anyone you give the giving area, and full administrators. Give the treasurer that area and nothing else.

Gifts and appeals are not written to the audit log yet, so agree between you who records what.
